Spike put it into better detail than I did...

Long story short: They crapped on the veteran players from a great height to make the game easier to play for all the idiot kids Episode III would bring.

I don't remember the SWG battle system being that great anyways.

I certainly would've dropped it for GW but I dropped it a while ago after about half a year (a little while after vehicles, before you could color them).

If it weren't for my guild (ITEC on the Tarquinas server, second guild in the entire game beat out by BHSS by an hour) I would've dropped it long before that.

anyways the only part I liked about SWG was fighting Overt in Anchorhead as a Rebel. I would always hide in the cantina as a TKM and people would always wanna come in and get me. Soon as they walked around the first corner BAM, knocked them down and just wailed on them. Good fun.

I re-opened my Dark Age of Camelot account a couple of days ago. After playing for 30 minutes I was sick of it again. I forgot how bad the grind was in the game. I wasted 15 bucks for 30 minutes of game play. I also played some Tribes2 and got bored with that in an hour. I have played Tribes2 since the day it came out. I loved the game so much. The only game I am playing now is GW. When or if I get sick of it I think I will build a new system so I can play some BF2. Sucks I got to spend over a 1000 bucks to play a game LOL.

I was a huge NWN PvP addict (Bastions of War/Antiworld), playing for almost 3 years I think... broken by Planetside and now GW.

I played SWG when they did that 2 week free deal, bunch of friends and I decided to try it out and then decide if we wanted to buy it... lets just say we were very glad we didn't pay anything for it.

By the first week we had all hit the point where you had to train other people to advance to the next stage in your profession, and that put the final kibosh on the whole thing. Standing around waiting for people newer than we were was not our idea of fun -- even training eachother wasn't enough to put a dent in the requirements. But, it was a fun distraction for a week or so. One of our goals was to go around killing Rancors, doing that was fun at least.

As far as my old games, I played Starcraft and Warcraft III alot, but just haven't had any extra time for them after work/friends/responibilities...nope, Guildwars gets all of that time =)
